Can I use Restor-A-Finish to darken my finish?

Restor-A-Finish is designed to restore the finish back to its original color, not to darken or change the color of the finish. We recommend using Restor-A-Finish in a color that best matches your finish. The stain in Restor-A-Finish is used to help restore some color and depth of grain to the finish, but not concentrated enough to use as a stain; or change a finish from Golden Oak to Dark Oak etc. Remember to test in an inconspicuous spot to make sure you like what it does. Then to protect your newly restored finish, use Feed-N-Wax.
